Gia Margaret introduced me to the music of Cale Tyson, a few weeks back. Definitely a big fan of his latest EP, Narcissist.
I randomly discovered The Jungle Giants, through an Instagram ad and am blown away by their 2017 release, Quiet Ferocity. Thankfully, the ad was promoting their upcoming Chicago show at Schubas, on 5/25, which I will definitely be attending.
I revisited one of the two releases by Islands, from 2016, the other day. Here’s one of the many solid tunes off of Taste.
Anxiously awaiting the announcement of a new Bombay Bicycle Club album. Here’s an old favorite.
I was sold on Colin Caulfield‘s project, Young Man, from the beginning and have continued to follow his musical journey; now, primarily as a member of DIIV. Anywho, here’s a favorite off the final release, 2013’s Beyond Was All Around Me.
I’ve casually listened to Gillian Welch over the years and am sure I’ll one day give her music the proper amount of attention that it deserves. Thankfully, that’s one of the great things about music. It’s easily accessible, and a great song, like this one, is timeless.
I’m a sucker for piano music and Ed Harcourt‘s 2018 release, Beyond The End, has been on constant repeat over the last few weeks.
